Midterm exam

In this picture we had to copy the four people from another image on to the background one at a time. Then we had to refine the edges of each person and copy them again to make a shadow for each. Next we had to select the person and paint them black and then blur them by using gaussian blur. Then we had to change the opacity of the image to make it look like the other shadows in the background image. Next we had to tilt the images so that they matched the direction of the other shadows.

Texture, Line, and Pattern

Our assignment was to take pictures of patterns, lines, and textures. I took pictures of things around my neighborhood. The first picture is of my homecoming dress and I took this picture because the dress has a zebra print pattern. The second picture is of the rug in my family room and I took the picture because the pattern has lines that intertwine and make a neat leading line. The third picture is a picture of my chair and I love the pattern on the chair and it has a cool texture. The fourth picture is of a bamboo table next to a couch and I really like polka dots so I took the picture. The last picture is of my driveway and I like that it is a leading line.

Grunge

For this project we had to use the spooky, seasonal, and scary pictures that we took and make them blurry and add a frame to one of them. The first picture is the one I chose to do the frame for and Ms. Lewis gave us the frame that we had to use. Then we had to add our own personal touch by using different brushes to create different patterns. The second picture is the same one as the first, but without the frame. The third picture is of the vineyard in the bottom corner.

Spooky, Seasonal, and Scary

For this project we had to take our own pictures. I had a soccer game in Roanoke so I decided to take my seasonal pictures on the trip down there. I took pictures mostly of the mountains and in the first picture the sun is only shining on part of the mountain. In the second picture there is a lot of fog in front of the mountain. The third picture I took on one of the tourist spots where you take pictures of the mountains. In the picture there is a vineyard in the bottom right corner with mountains in the background.

Kaleidoscope

For this project we had to take an image and rotate it a bunch of different ways to make it look like we were looking at the image through a kaleidoscope. The first image is a flower that I got off of the internet. The second picture is something that I created on photoshop and then rotated it to make it look like a kaleidoscope picture.

Carter's Mountain

We went on a field trip to Carter's Mountain to get some pictures of apples for this project and then we had to alter or color enhance them.

This is a picture of some corn in a basket.

This is a picture of a mom holding up her son to pick an apple from the tree.

This is a picture of a sign shaped like an apple that says register open.

I took this picture on the lookout at Carter's Mountain looking out over the vineyard.

I took this picture by lying on the level with the pumpkins.

I took this picture of pumpkins then altered it by desaturating it and then replacing the color of one pumpkin with the color purple. Then I added text and made it go around the pumpkin.

This is a picture I took upside down under some flowers but then flipped it to make it look better. To alter this picture I just enhanced the blue hues.

This is a picture I took that is supposed to lead the eye up the page with the line of apples. I altered this picture by, first, enhancing the red hues to make the apples bright red. Then I desaturated it and then going back and using the history brush to color over the apples and bring back their color.

Pop Art

This is a picture of my dog Sabre that I turned into a popart picture. First I colored the objects different colors, each on a different layer. Then I used ben day dots to create the lines, dots, and circles.

Crazy Combo

This was the third project that we had to do and we had to make an animal that doesn't exist in real life. I made a zebra that has a rainbow zebra body, a regular zebra head, a rabbit foot, a dog tail, a flipper foot, a turtle foot and a dog foot.

Change My Look

This was the fourth project that we did. The first picture is my friend Ariel and I changed her hair color to lime green and her eye color to orange. The second picture was a practice and we had to change the hair color and eye color of a celebrity and I chose Edward Cullen. The third picture is me in front of a rainbow at the beach. I changed my hair color to purple and my eye color to blue and then added a purple nose ring.

Postcard

This is the first project that we did in Digital Imaging. I chose to do my postcard on soccer because I have been playing soccer most of my life and it is important to me.

Intro

This is my first post, and these are pictures of my sleepy dogs. The first dogs name is Sabre and the seconds name is Robbie.
